So in your heart of hearts, have you truly come to grips with the truth that Jesus died and rose again for you? Has that truth permeated every fibre of your being, even down into the core of who you are?

I was sitting in one of the world’s busiest airports the other day, watching people rush past; big, small, young, old, black, white and every shade in between – all shapes and sizes and ages and backgrounds and beliefs. The whole gamut of humanity seemed to be passing by.

As I sat there, I just felt Jesus whisper something into my heart. I died for each one of them. Go and tell them. I died for each one of them.

I wonder sometimes whether it isn’t easier for us to believe that Jesus died for someone else – someone who’s better than us, someone who deserves it a whole lot more than we do, someone over there who knows the right things and believes the right things and does the right things and says the right things.

But me? No, no, I can never accept that He died for me. I can never accept that He’s interested in me. No, no, He’s not dying to spend the rest of eternity … with me!

2 Corinthians 5:15 He died for all so that those who live would not continue to live for themselves. He died for them and was raised from death so that they would live for him.

Jesus died for all; for each one of us. Each one! For all those people in that airport, for me and for you.

He died for us and was raised from the dead so that we would live a new life; so that we would live our lives for Him.

Wake up. He died and rose again … for you!

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
