Matthew 19:5,6 And God said, ‘That is why a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife. And the two people will become one.’ So they are no longer two, but one. God has joined them together, so no one should separate them.”

If you’re expecting God to get all politically correct on us here in the 21st century at a time when people want free speech (unless you disagree with them), then you’re going to be sadly, sadly disappointed with what I have to share with you today.

So, de facto relationships are becoming more and more common. Let’s live together and see how it goes. It seems to make sense. If it works, we’ll keep on going. If it doesn’t, we can go our separate ways.

Sure, why not? And yet … that’s not God’s perfect plan.

I know people are going to write and email me and call me every name under the sun after I say what I’m going to say. Bigot. Narrow-minded conservative. Homophobic. I’ve heard it all before and I’m going to say it anyway.

God has an amazing plan for our lives, yours and mine. And for many, that involves sexual fulfilment. Remember, He was the one who invented sex. It’s no surprise to Him.

And the only place where God wants us to find that fulfilment is in a life-long exclusive relationship between one man and one woman. That’s where the blessing is. We call that … marriage. And it doesn’t matter how loudly people shout, He’s not going to change His mind.

Matthew 19:5, 6 And God said, ‘That is why a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife. And the two people will become one.’ So they are no longer two, but one. God has joined them together, so no one should separate them.”

I know, I know, the world appears to have moved on. Surely we can’t be that narrow. Well, it’s not me. These words were spoken by Jesus. God’s plan for sexual fulfillment is marriage. One man, one woman. That’s it.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
