Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my Rock, my fortress, my place of safety. He is my God, the Rock I run to for protection. He is my shield; by his power I am saved. He is my hiding place high in the hills.

Possibly the worst thing – no, not possibly, actually – the worst thing about the wilderness journeys we find ourselves on from time to time is that feeling of being alone. Completely alone.

Every now and then, life takes a turn for the worse. Things are chugging along just nicely but then, all of a sudden, it all goes off the rails. In an instant, life can come crashing down around us and we’re left wondering – God, where are you?

Let me share this beautiful poem with you.

One day, I asked God from the depths of my heart, Where are you in my life? And very gently, God replied.

I will always be a rock for you. My strength is forever with you. My living streams will revive you with the cool waters of my Spirit. The peace of my wilderness will rest and restore your soul.

And as you travel down life’s road – remember that I always go before you, to calm the raging sea, to fill the babbling brook, to light your path and to clear your way so that your road may lead ever closer to Me …

Never again will you be desolate for I will make My home in you.  Those mountains in front of you have stood for an age, but I will stand with you for eternity – through the One whom I sent to prove my love for you.

My Son Jesus is your Rock – stretch your hand to Him and He will take your burdens.

Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my Rock, my fortress, my place of safety. He is my God, the Rock I run to for protection. He is my shield; by his power I am saved. He is my hiding place high in the hills.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
